  • Who is Vulnerable? Labtam ProFTP 2.9
    Vulnerability Description Labtam ProFTP is vulnerable to a buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability via an overly long welcome message to overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system with elevated privileges or cause the service to crash.

    In order for the protection to be activated,
    update your Security Gateway product to the latest IPS update.

    1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the Labtam ProFTP Client Banner Buffer Overflow protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
    2. Install policy on all modules.
