Vulnerability Description Black Hole Exploit Kit exploit kit is a web exploit kit that operates by delivering malicious payload to the victim's computer. Remote attackers can infect users with Black Hole EK by redirecting them to a malicious web page. Successful infection will allow the attacker to download additional malware to the target.

Protection Overview

This protection detects and blocks attempts to redirect users to a specially crafted web page in order to infect them with Black Hole exploit kit.

In order for the protection to be activated, update your Security Gateway product to the latest IPS update. For information on how to update IPS, go to SBP-2006-05, click on Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

Security Gateway R80 / R77 / R75

  1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the Black Hole Exploit Kit Website Redirection protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
  2. Install policy on all Security Gateways.

This protection's log will contain the following information:
