Who is Vulnerable? All versions of Confluence Server and Confluence Data Center before version 6.6.12, from version 6.7.0 before 6.12.3 (the fixed version for 6.12.x), from version 6.13.0 before 6.13.3 (the fixed version for 6.13.x) and from version 6.14.0 before 6.14.2 (the fixed version for 6.14.x).
Vulnerability Description A remote code execution vulnerability exists in the Widget Connector component of Atlassian Confluence and Data Center. A remote attacker can exploit this issue by sending a specially crafted packet to the target server. Successful exploitation could result in execution of arbitrary code on the affected system.

In order for the protection to be activated, update your Security Gateway product to the latest IPS update. For information on how to update IPS, go to SBP-2006-05, click on Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

Security Gateway R81 / R80 / R77 / R75

  1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the Atlassian Confluence and Data Center Remote Code Execution (CVE-2019-3396) protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
  2. Install policy on all Security Gateways.
