Vulnerability Description | Microsoft Server Message Block (SMB) Protocol is a Microsoft network file sharing protocol used in Microsoft Windows. A vulnerability exists in Microsoft Server Message Block (SMB) Protocol that could allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on the vulnerable system due to memory corruption. The vulnerability is due to incorrectly indexing an array when handling specially crafted SMB packets. Remote attackers could exploit this vulnerability by sending a specially crafted network message to a computer running the Server service. |
