Who is Vulnerable? EnGenius ENH1350EXT 3.9.3.2_c1.9.51 and prior
Vulnerability Description A command injection vulnerability in EnGenius ENH1350EXT allows attackers to execute arbitrary OS commands with root-level permissions via shell metacharacters to the Ping or Speed Test utility. During initial setup, the device creates an open unsecured network with default credentials, enabling unauthorized access.

In order for the protection to be activated, update your Security Gateway product to the latest IPS update. For information on how to update IPS, go to SBP-2006-05, click on Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

Security Gateway R81 / R80 / R77 / R75

  1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the EnGenius ENH1350EXT Command Injection (CVE-2024-45242) protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
  2. Install policy on all Security Gateways.
