Who is Vulnerable? Cyanheads Git MCP Server prior to 2.1.5
Vulnerability Description A command injection vulnerability in Cyanheads Git MCP Server allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary system commands by exploiting unsanitized input parameters within a call to child_process.exec. Successful exploitation can lead to remote code execution under the server process's privileges.

In order for the protection to be activated, update your Security Gateway product to the latest IPS update. For information on how to update IPS, go to SBP-2006-05, click on Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

Security Gateway R81 / R80 / R77 / R75

  1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the Cyanheads Git MCP Server Command Injection (CVE-2025-53107) protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
  2. Install policy on all Security Gateways.
