Who is Vulnerable?	WinZip 18.0 and later, prior to 18.0.16371 WinZip 27.0 and later, prior to 27.0.16370 WinZip 76.0 and later, prior to 76.8
Vulnerability Description	A out of bounds write vulnerability in WinZip allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of user-supplied data, which can result in a write past the end of an allocated buffer.

In order for the protection to be activated, update your Security Gateway product to the latest IPS update. For information on how to update IPS, go to SBP-2006-05, click on Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

Security Gateway R81 / R80 / R77 / R75

In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the WinZip Out Of Bounds Write (CVE-2025-1240) protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
Install policy on all Security Gateways.
