| Vulnerability Description | A buffer overflow vulnerability in OpenSSL allows attackers to cause a denial-of-service condition or potentially execute arbitrary code by exploiting missing validation in PBMAC1 parameters in PKCS#12 files. This issue arises when processing maliciously crafted PKCS#12 files, where the PBKDF2 salt and keylength parameters are used without validation, leading to a stack-based buffer overflow or NULL pointer dereference. Exploitation requires user interaction and processing of untrusted PKCS#12 files. |
