Who is Vulnerable? Gradio 6.5.0 and prior
Vulnerability Description A server-side request forgery vulnerability in Gradio allows an attacker to make arbitrary HTTP requests from a victim's server by hosting a malicious Gradio Space. When a victim application uses gr.load() to load an attacker-controlled Space, the malicious proxy_url from the config is trusted and added to the allowlist, enabling the attacker to access internal services, cloud metadata endpoints, and private networks through the victim's infrastructure.

This protection detects attempts to exploit this vulnerability.

In order for the protection to be activated, update your Security Gateway product to the latest IPS update. For information on how to update IPS, go to SBP-2006-05, click on Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

Security Gateway R81 / R80 / R77 / R75

  1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the Gradio Server-Side Request Forgery (CVE-2026-28416) protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
  2. Install policy on all Security Gateways.
