Who is Vulnerable? | |
Vulnerability Description | Microsoft Internet Explorer is the most widely used Internet browser. Microsoft Internet Explorer fails to handle Vector Markup Language (VML) tags. VML is a set of XML tags for drawing vector graphics. A remote attacker may trigger this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code on the target system. This protection addresses the [MS06-055] vulnerability by blocking the COM object. |
This protection will block the vulnerable COM object.
In order for the protection to be activated, update your Security Gateway product to the latest IPS update. For information on how to update IPS, go to SBP-2006-05, click on Protection tab and select the version of your choice.
