Who is Vulnerable? | |
Vulnerability Description | A vulnerability has been identified in the Oracle Data Control (ORADC) ActiveX control.The ORADC ActiveX control is provided by the Oracle Objects for OLE package. It provides data access and operation modifications on the backend database.A remote attacker could execute arbitrary code on the affected system.The vulnerability is due to a validation error in the Oracle ORADC ActiveX control. The application fails to properly handle malformed arguments passed to a certain method. To trigger the vulnerability, an attacker can create a malicious Web page that initiates a vulnerable ActiveX control. Successful exploitation could result in remote code execution on the target system once the malicious page is loaded. |
