Who is Vulnerable? | |
Vulnerability Description | Microsoft Internet Explorer is the most widely used Internet browser. There exists a weakness in Microsoft Internet Explorter which may allow attackers to conceal the URI to a page. The problem occurs when a URI designed to pass access to a location with a user-name, contains special character before @ sign in the user@domain portion of the URI. When a vulnerable client opens a specially crafted URL, its behavior varies on different attacking code. |

In order for the protection to be activated, update your Security Gateway product to the latest IPS update. For information on how to update IPS, go to SBP-2006-05, click on Protection tab and select the version of your choice.
