Who is Vulnerable? | |
Vulnerability Description | Serv-U FTP Server is a widely-used FTP server that includes enterprise-grade features such as SSL support, ODBC and Windows NT/SAM user account management, virtual directories, compression etc. By default configuration, Serv-U FTP Server listens on 21/TCP for incoming FTP request. There exists a vulnerability in the Serv-U FTP server versions 5.0.0.4 and below, due to the incorrect validation of parameters during the processing of the FTP "NLST" and "LIST" commands. In a case of a successful attack, the remote Serv-U FTP server will terminate, causing a denial of service. The administrator of the vulnerable system must restart the Serv-U FTP server for the service to resume. |
