Who is Vulnerable? | |
Vulnerability Description | The Apache HTTP server is the most popular web server used on the Internet. The server is capable of being utilized with numerous different options and configurations, with a wide variety of plug-in modules which are loaded at run-time to extend its functionality. There exist a cross-site scripting vulnerability in Apache mod_proxy_ftp module. The flaw is due to lack of sanitization of user supplied input data. The flaw may be exploited by malicious users to execute arbitrary HTML code on target user's web browser, within the context of a trusted web site. An attack targeting this vulnerability can result in the injection and execution of script code in the response by the Apache HTTP server. If code execution is successful, the behaviour of the target will depend on the contents of the malicious script code. |
