Vulnerability Description | The Adobe Flash Player is a multimedia and application player that renders Shockwave Flash (SWF) files. A heap overflow vulnerability has been reported in the Adobe Flash Player. The vulnerability is due to an error in the Adobe Flash Player that fails to sufficiently validate data when parsing malformed JPEG data. A remote attacker might exploit this issue by convincing a victim to open a specially crafted SWF file. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow the attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system. |
This protection will detect and block the transferring of malformed SWF files embedding corrupted JPEG data over HTTP.
