Who is Vulnerable? | |
Vulnerability Description | There exists a stack overflow vulnerability in the Microsoft Publisher product. The flaw is triggered when a malicious PUB file is parsed by the affected component. A successful attack targeting this vulnerability may lead to the execution of arbitrary code. In an attack case where code injection is not successful, the Microsoft Publisher application processing the malicious PUB file will terminate abnormally. In a more sophisticated attack, where code injection is successful, the behavior of the target is entirely dependent on the intended function of the injected code. |
