Vulnerability Description | Firefox is an open source web browser developed by Mozilla Foundation. The application is capable of interpreting and rendering many types of Internet content, including various versions of HTML, XML, CSS (Cascade Style Sheet), JavaScript, various graphic formats, and so on. Firefox is made available for Windows, Macintosh, Unix and Linux based platforms. There exists a memory corruption vulnerability in Mozilla Firefox products. The vulnerability is due to a design error in Mozilla's internal array data structure. A remote unauthenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability by enticing the target user to open a malicious webpage. Successful attack could allow for arbitrary code injection and execution with the privileges of the currently logged on user. In case of an attack where code injection is not successful, the affected application will terminate abnormally. In case of an attack where code injection and execution is successful, the behavior of the target is entirely dependent on the intended function of the injected code. The code in such a case would execute within the security context of the current user. |
