Vulnerability Description | The Adobe Flash Player is a multimedia and application player that renders Shockwave Flash (SWF) files. A code execution vulnerability has been reported in Adobe Flash Player and the "authplay.dll" file that ships with Adobe Reader and Acrobat products. The vulnerability is due to the authplay.dll component that ships with Adobe Reader and Acrobat 9.x. A remote attacker might exploit this issue by convincing a victim to open a specially crafted PDF file that contains SWF content. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow the attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system. |
