Vulnerability Description | The Adobe Flash Player is a multimedia and application player that renders Shockwave Flash (SWF) files. A remote code execution vulnerability has been reported in Adobe Flash Player. A remote attacker may exploit this vulnerability to take complete control of the affected system. The vulnerability is due to a use after free error in the Adobe Flash Player. A remote attacker might exploit this issue by convincing a victim to open a specially crafted SWF file that contains malformed embedded JPEG. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow the attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system. |
This protection detects and blocks SWF files that contain malformed embedded JPEG.
