Who is Vulnerable? | |
Vulnerability Description | Malware is a software designed to infiltrate or damage a computer system without the owner's informed consent. It is a general name for a variety of forms of hostile, intrusive, or annoying programs like Viruses, worms, Adware, Trojans, and spyware that exploit unprotected clients, using network access to intrude upon organizations, destroying or stealing data. VBMania is received as part of spam email. When executed, it will enumerate addresses in an infected hosts contact list and sends itself via email. This malware also has capabilities to spread via autorun and can spread to network shares or removable drives. |
The protection is able to detect and block the VBMania Worm propagation.
In order for the protection to be activated, update your Security Gateway product to the latest IPS update. For information on how to update IPS, go to SBP-2006-05, click on Protection tab and select the version of your choice.
