Who is Vulnerable? | |
Vulnerability Description | The Netlogon Remote Protocol is a remote procedure call (RPC) interface that is used for user and machine authentication on domain-based networks. A remote denial of service vulnerability has been discovered in implementations of the Netlogon RPC Service on affected versions of Windows Server. The vulnerability is due to an error in the Netlogon RPC Service that fails to properly validate user-provided data. A remote attacker may exploit this issue by sending a specially crafted RPC packet to the Netlogon RPC Service interface. A remote attacker who successfully exploited this vulnerability could cause affected Windows Servers to restart. |
