Vulnerability Description | Ingres Database is a relational database product available for both Windows and Unix-like platforms. A vulnerability has been reported in Ingres Database that could be exploited by remote attackers to compromise a vulnerable system. The vulnerability is due to insufficient boundary checking in the iidbms component of the Ingres Database. A remote attacker could exploit this issue by sending a specially crafted request to the database server. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability would cause a heap buffer overflow that could cause a denial of service, or allow execution of arbitrary code with the privileges of the affected process. |
