Vulnerability Description | Oracle Secure Backup is a backup solution allowing for centralized tape backup management. The server allows for single point of management of data present on network attached storage (NAS) devices and distributed hosts which may have different operating systems. A command execution vulnerability exists in Oracle Secure Backup server. The vulnerability is due to insufficient filtering when handling the $preauth variable. A remote authenticated attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a specially crafted HTTP request to the index.php script on the target server. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary commands under the credentials of the System account. |
