Who is Vulnerable? | |
Vulnerability Description | Google Chrome is a web browser developed by Google Inc. It provides a rich web browsing experience similar to other web browsers such as Firefox, Opera, and Internet Explorer. A remote code execution vulnerability has been reported in Google Chrome. The vulnerability is due to accessing an uninitialized memory during processing of URLs with rouge extensions. Specifically, it is due to an invalid write in the browser process when trying to delete an invalid bug_report_ pointer. A remote attacker can leverage this vulnerability by enticing a target user to open a crafted web file. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability will crash the browser, and may allow execution of arbitrary code on the vulnerable system. |
