Who is Vulnerable? | |
Vulnerability Description | The Windows kernel is the core of the operating system. It provides system-level services such as device management and memory management, allocates processor time to processes, and manages error handling. An elevation of privilege vulnerability has been reported in the Windows kernel. The vulnerability is caused due to improper Kernel-mode driver object management. The win32k!xxxDragObject does not lock a pointer to a cursor after assigning it. An attacker could run a specially crafted application that could exploit this flaw and take complete control over the affected system. |
