Vulnerability Description | 7-Technologies' IGSS is a Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system used for monitoring and controlling industrial processes. Multiple buffer overflow vulnerabilities have been reported in 7T Interactive Graphical SCADA System (IGSS). The vulnerability is due to boundary errors in the handling of file operation requests sent to the server. A remote attacker could exploit this issue by sending a specially crafted packet to TCP port 12401 on the target server. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability would lead to stack buffer overflows that could cause the host to become unresponsive, and may lead to code injection and execution in the context of the affected server. |
This protection will detect and block specially crafted packets sent to the vulnerable server.
