Vulnerability Description | A stack buffer overflow vulnerability has been reported in IBM Lotus Domino. IBM Lotus Domino is a software suite which provides enterprise-class messaging, calendaring, and scheduling capabilities for collaborative applications. The vulnerability is due to insufficient input validation by IBM Lotus Domino when handling HTTP POST requests sent to the Web Administrator database's URI. A remote attacker could trigger this vulnerability by sending specially crafted POST requests to an affected server. Successful exploitation may allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code on the affected system. Successful exploitation may allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code on the affected system. |
This protection will detect and block attempts to transfer such malicious POST requests over HTTP.
