Who is Vulnerable? | |
Vulnerability Description | A remote code execution vulnerability has been reported in Apple Common UNIX Printing System (CUPS). The vulnerability is due to insufficient validation error while processing image data in GIF files. A remote attacker may exploit this vulnerability by enticing a user to open a specially crafted GIF file. Successful exploitation would allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system, in the security context of the logged on user. An unsuccessful code execution could terminate the application, resulting in a denial of service condition. |
