Who is Vulnerable? | |
Vulnerability Description | A code execution vulnerability has been reported in the FreeType font engine. The vulnerability is due to improper validation by the application while handling specially crafted PDF or PostScript. A remote attacker may exploit this vulnerability by enticing an affected user to open a specially crafted file. Successful exploitation would allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system, in the security context of the logged on user. |

In order for the protection to be activated, update your Security Gateway product to the latest IPS update. For information on how to update IPS, go to SBP-2006-05, click on Protection tab and select the version of your choice.
