Who is Vulnerable?	Adobe Reader and Acrobat versions 8.x before 8.3.1 Adobe Reader and Acrobat versions 9.x before 9.4.6 Adobe Reader and Acrobat versions and 10.x before 10.1.1
Vulnerability Description	A remote code execution vulnerability exists in Adobe Reader and Acrobat. Successful exploitation would allow an attacker to execute code in the target system.

Protection Overview

This protection will detect and block the transferring of malicious PDF files.

In order for the protection to be activated, update your Security Gateway product to the latest IPS update. For information on how to update IPS, go to SBP-2006-05, click on Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

Security Gateway R81 / R80 / R77 / R75 / R71 / R70

In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the Adobe Reader and Acrobat Remote Code Execution (CVE-2011-2441) protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
Install policy on all Security Gateways.

This protection's log will contain the following information:

Attack Name: Adobe Reader Violation.
