Who is Vulnerable?
Vulnerability Description	An information disclosure vulnerability has been reported in Microsoft Forefront Unified Access Gateway (UAG). The vulnerability is due to improper validation of user supplied URLs by the UAG server. A remote attacker could trigger this issue by sending a specially crafted HTTP request to an affected server. Successful exploitation may result in potentially sensitive information being disclosed to an unprivileged user.

Protection Overview

This protection will detect and block attempts to transfer malformed requests over HTTP.

In order for the protection to be activated, update your Security Gateway product to the latest IPS update. For information on how to update IPS, go to SBP-2006-05, click on Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

Security Gateway R80 / R77 / R75 / R71 / R70

In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the Microsoft Forefront UAG ExcelTable Information Disclosure (MS11-079) protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
Install policy on all Security Gateways.

This protection's log will contain the following information:

Attack Name: Security Products Enforcement Violation.
