Who is Vulnerable?
Vulnerability Description cross-site request forgery (XSRF) vulnerability has been reported in Trend Micro Control Manager. The vulnerability is due to an error while handling CasLogDirectInsert.aspx requests. A remote attacker may exploit this vulnerability by enticing a user to open a specially crafted URI. Successful exploitation of this issue will allow the attacker to login to the administrator console and execute commands with the privileges of the affected service.

Protection Overview

This protection will detect and block attempts to exploit this vulnerability.

In order for the protection to be activated, update your Security Gateway product to the latest IPS update. For information on how to update IPS, go to SBP-2006-05, click on Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

Security Gateway R80 / R77 / R75

  1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the Trend Micro Control Manager CasLogDirectInsertHandler.cs XSRF protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
  2. Install policy on all Security Gateways.

This protection's log will contain the following information:

Attack Name:  Trend Micro ServerProtect Protection Violation.
Attack Information:  Trend Micro Control Manager CasLogDirectInsertHandler.cs cross site request forgery
