Who is Vulnerable? | |
Vulnerability Description | A remote code execution vulnerability has been reported in Un4seen XMPlay. The vulnerability is due to a boundary error while parsing specially crafted M3U files. A remote attacker may exploit this vulnerability by enticing an unsuspecting user to open a malicious playlist (M3U) file. Successful exploitation would allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on an affected system, in the security context of the logged in user. |
This protection will detect and block attempts to transfer malicious M3U files.
