Who is Vulnerable? | |
Vulnerability Description | A memory corruption vulnerability has been reported in Microsoft Windows. The vulnerability is due to an error in win32k.sys while opening web pages containing a specially crafted I frame tag with Apple Safari browser. A remote attacker may exploit this issue by enticing Apple Safari users to open a web page containing an IFrame with an overly large "height" attribute. Successful exploitation may allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system with kernel-mode privileges. |
This protection will detect and block attempts to open specially crafted web pages.
In order for the protection to be activated, update your Security Gateway product to the latest IPS update. For information on how to update IPS, go to SBP-2006-05, click on Protection tab and select the version of your choice.
