Vulnerability Description | A stack buffer overflow vulnerability has been reported in ispVM System. The vulnerability is due to the improper validation of specially crafted XCF files. A remote attacker can exploit this issue by enticing the victim to accept and open a specially crafted XCF file. Successful exploitation would result in arbitrary code execution. |
This protection will detect and block specially crafted XCF files.
In order for the protection to be activated, update your Security Gateway product to the latest IPS update. For information on how to update IPS, go to SBP-2006-05, click on Protection tab and select the version of your choice.
