Who is Vulnerable? | |
Vulnerability Description | An HTTP response splitting vulnerability has been reported in Mozilla Firefox, Thunderbird and SeaMonkey. The vulnerability is due to an error in the way the applications handle HTTP responses with multiple location headers. A remote attacker may exploit this vulnerability by enticing users to open a specially crafted URL with an affected Mozilla product. Successful exploitation could allow attackers to redirect target users to a malicious URL under their control. |
This protection will detect and block malicious HTTP responses sent from the server.
In order for the protection to be activated, update your Security Gateway product to the latest IPS update. For information on how to update IPS, go to SBP-2006-05, click on Protection tab and select the version of your choice.
