Who is Vulnerable? | |
Vulnerability Description | A buffer overflow vulnerability has been reported in EMC NetWorker. The vulnerability is due to improper boundary check when processing crafted RPC requests in the nsrindexd.exe. A remote attacker may exploit this issue by sending a specially crafted RPC message to the target host. Successful exploitation would allow attackers to crash the application or execute arbitrary code on the target. |
This protection will detect and block the transferring of specially crafted RPC messages to the target host.
