Who is Vulnerable? | |
Vulnerability Description | A certificate handling flaw has been reported in Cyberoam's deep packet inspection (DPI) devices. The vulnerability is caused due to the Cyberoam DPI devices sharing the same Certificate Authority (CA) certificate. A remote attacker could leverage this flaw to intercept SSL traffic from any Cyberoam device user, using any other Cyberoam DPI device. Successful exploitation could allow an attacker to perform man-in-the-middle attacks. |
This protection will detect and block the default Cyberoam CA certificate.
In order for the protection to be activated, update your Security Gateway product to the latest IPS update. For information on how to update IPS, go to SBP-2006-05, click on Protection tab and select the version of your choice.
This protection's log will contain the following information:
