Vulnerability Description | Firefox is a popular, open source web browser developed by Mozilla Foundation. A vulnerability was reported in Mozilla Firefox. Mozilla Firefox fails to properly process Animated Portable Network Graphics (APNG) image files. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by persuading a target user to open a specially crafted PNG image. Successful exploitation could lead to arbitrary code execution or terminate the application, resulting in a Denial of Service condition. |
By enabling this protection, SmartDefense will detect and block malformed animated PNG graphics files.
