Who is Vulnerable?
Vulnerability Description An elevation of privilege vulnerability exists in Microsoft SharePoint Server.The vulnerability is caused when SharePoint Server does not properly protect against a practice known as clickjacking in a SharePoint page. A remote attacker could trigger this flaw by convincing a SharePoint user to open a specially crafted page. An attacker who successfully exploited this vulnerability could perform cross-site scripting attacks and run script in the security context of the logged-on user.

This protection detects and blocks attempts to exploit this vulnerability.

In order for the protection to be activated, update your Security Gateway product to the latest IPS update. For information on how to update IPS, go to SBP-2006-05, click on Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

Security Gateway R80 / R77 / R75 / R71 / R70

  1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the Microsoft SharePoint Server Parameter Injection (MS13-084) protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
  2. Install policy on all Security Gateways.

This protection's log will contain the following information:
