Who is Vulnerable? | |
Vulnerability Description | Several improperly issued CA certificates could be used in HTTPS spoofing attacks. The certificates have been misused to issue SSL certificates for multiple sites. SSL certificates could be used by attackers to spoof content, perform phishing attacks, or perform man-in-the-middle attacks against multiple sites. |
This protection will detect and block attempts to use the improperly issued CA certificates.
In order for the protection to be activated, update your Security Gateway product to the latest IPS update. For information on how to update IPS, go to SBP-2006-05, click on Protection tab and select the version of your choice.
This protection's log will contain the following information:
Attack Name: SSL Enforcement Violation.
Attack Information: ANSSI Improperly Issued Digital Certificates HTTPS Spoofing
