Who is Vulnerable? | |
Vulnerability Description | A heap buffer overflow vulnerability leading to code execution has been reported in GNU Image Manipulation Program (GIMP). The vulnerability is due to insufficient validation of certain fields while parsing XWD files. Remote attackers can exploit this vulnerability by enticing the target user to open a malicious XWD file. Successful exploitation could result in injection and execution of arbitrary code, within the security context of the current logged in user. |
