Who is Vulnerable?
Vulnerability Description A memory corruption vulnerability has been reported within Apple WebKit, a component of Apple Safari and Google Chrome web browsers and Apple iTunes. The vulnerability is due to an error in Apple Webkit while handling certain display properties within the ruby:before and ruby:after style sheet blocks. A remote attacker may exploit this vulnerability by enticing a target user to open a specially crafted web page. Successful exploitation could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code in the security context of the logged on user.

In order for the protection to be activated,
update your Security Gateway product to the latest IPS update.

Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

  1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the Google Chrome and Apple Safari Apple Webkit Ruby Memory Corruption - Ver2 protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
  2. Install policy on all modules.
