Vulnerability Description	A remote code execution vulnerability has been reported in Microsoft Windows. The vulnerability is caused by Windows improperly restricting the path used for processing .bat and .cmd files. A remote attacker could trigger this flaw by placing a malicious executable in the working directory (e.g. an SMB/CIFS or WebDAV share) of an application that calls a batch file. Successful exploitation would result in the execution of arbitrary attacker code in the security context of the user running the application.

In order for the protection to be activated, update your Security Gateway product to the latest IPS update. For information on how to update IPS, go to SBP-2006-05, click on Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

Security Gateway R80 / R77 / R75 / R71 / R70

In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the Microsoft Windows File Handling Component Remote Code Execution (MS14-019) protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
Install policy on all Security Gateways.

This protection's log will contain the following information:
