Who is Vulnerable?	HP IMC Branch Intelligent Management System Software Module (BIMS) prior to 7.0 E0201P02
Vulnerability Description	An information disclosure vulnerability exists in the BIMS add-in module of HP Intelligent Management Center. The vulnerability is due to lack of authentication and insufficient input validation in the UploadServlet servlet when processing HTTP request parameters. By sending crafted HTTP requests to the target system, a remote unauthenticated attacker can leverage this vulnerability to view the contents of arbitrary files on a target system.

Protection Overview

This protection will detect and block attempts to exploit this vulnerability.

In order for the protection to be activated, update your Security Gateway product to the latest IPS update. For information on how to update IPS, go to SBP-2006-05, click on Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

Security Gateway R80 / R77 / R75

In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the HP Intelligent Management Center BIMS UploadServlet Information Disclosure protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
Install policy on all Security Gateways.

This protection's log will contain the following information:
