Who is Vulnerable? | HP Data Protector 8.x and prior |
Vulnerability Description | A directory traversal vulnerability exists in HP Data Protector. The vulnerability is due to a lack of input sanitization of a file name provided with Opcode 305. A remote unauthenticated attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a crafted request to the vulnerable service. Successful exploitation would result in the of writing arbitrary files to the file system which could result in code execution in the context of the affected service, which is Administrator by default. |
