Who is Vulnerable? | OpenSSL Project OpenSSL 1.0.2 |
Vulnerability Description | A denial of service vulnerability exists in OpenSSL. The vulnerability is due to a null pointer dereference when an OpenSSL server application, during renegotiation, receives and processes an invalid signature_algorithms extension in a Client Hello handshake message. A remote, unauthenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability by sending a crafted TLS 1.2 message during renegotiation. Successful exploitation will cause the server application to crash, resulting in a denial-of-service condition. |
