Vulnerability Description | A buffer overflow vulnerability exists in PHP. The vulnerability is due to improper bounds checking when handling .tar, .phar or .zip archives in the phar_set_inode() function or phar_parse_pharfile() function. A remote attacker can exploit this vulnerability by providing a crafted .tar or .phar file to a vulnerable application. Successful exploitation could lead to execution of arbitrary code under the security context of the process. |
