Who is Vulnerable? op5 Monitor 7.1.9
Vulnerability Description A cross-site request forgery vulnerability leading to command injection has been reported in the command_test.php script of op5 Monitor. The vulnerability is due to a lack of any cross-site request forgery prevention mechanism. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by enticing an authenticated user to click on a malicious link. Successful exploitation allows the attacker to execute arbitrary code under the security context of the user 'monitor'.

Protection Overview

This protection detects attempts to exploit this vulnerability.

In order for the protection to be activated, update your Security Gateway product to the latest IPS update. For information on how to update IPS, go to SBP-2006-05, click on Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

Security Gateway R80 / R77 / R75

  1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the op5 Monitor command_test.php Command Injection protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
  2. Install policy on all Security Gateways.

This protection's log will contain the following information:
