Who is Vulnerable?	Altap Servant Salamander 2.5 with Portable Executable Viewer 2.02 (English Trial) Altap Servant Salamander 2.0 with Portable Executable Viewer 1.00 (English Trial)
Vulnerability Description	A buffer overflow exists in Altap Salamander. A remote attacker could trigger this vulnerability by creating a malicious file and convincing a user to view the file with the Portable Executable Viewer plugin within a vulnerable version of Salamander. Successful exploitation would allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via the PDB file.

In order for the protection to be activated, update your Security Gateway product to the latest IPS update. For information on how to update IPS, go to SBP-2006-05, click on Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

Security Gateway R80 / R77 / R75

In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the Altap Salamander 2.5 PE Viewer Buffer Overflow protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
Install policy on all Security Gateways.

This protection's log will contain the following information:
